Tim Hillard offers a comprehensive gynaecological service for most common disorders such as menstrual problems, fibroids, pelvic pain, endometriosis, bleeding problems and ovarian cysts. Tim Hillard has an expertise in abdominal, vaginal and laparoscopic surgery and carries out a wide range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy.
He has a specialist interest in surgery for prolapse and incontinence. He runs his own urodynamic clinic (both NHS and private) and provides a full range of incontinence and pelvic floor procedures including TVT, TOT, collagen injections, pelvic floor repairs and sacrocolpopexy.

Tim Hillard trained at the Southampton Medical School and King's College Hospital in London. He has been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Poole, Dorset since 1994. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 1987 and a Fellow in 1999. He is also a fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH). Tim is the district tutor for the RCOG and an examiner for the London and Southampton medical schools. He also examines for the DRCOG and is an Associate Professor at St George's University, Grenada. He is the current Chairman of the British Menopause Society.

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Hillard covers most aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology with a particular interest in uro-gynaecology (urinary incontinence and pelvic floor reconstruction).
He also runs specialist clinics in outpatient hysteroscopy and menopause.
In addition he conducts outpatient clinics and operating sessions at the Victoria Hospital, Wimborne.

Research
Tim completed his DM thesis in 1994 on HRT and osteoporosis. He has published numerous papers on the menopause and lectures both nationally and internationally on the menopause and bladder related problems. He has edited 3 books including the last 2 RCOG yearbooks (Found Here). He is the current Chairman of the British Menopause Society and will be President of the forthcoming European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) Meeting in London 2009
He has been actively involved in a number of research projects in recent years .
